The Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA) was established in terms of the Skills Development Act No. 97 of 1998 and is responsible for the facilitation of skills development within the local government sector.

GAUTENG (1 POST)
STRATEGY AND PLANINNG

The Specialist will be responsible for conducting research to support and enhance institutional knowledge within prescribed research management frameworks, policy, procedures and legislation. To plan, design and undertake research projects including analysis of data and development of planning documents and strategies. Review existing research and strategy effectiveness with a view to modifications, opportunities and improvements in order to maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.
Job requirement: Minimum: Honours’ Degree related to Administration or Public Administration, Statistics or Related Field (NQF Level 8); Ideal A B-degree Honours or Masters’ Degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Human Resources or Labour Market related qualification or equivalent (NQF Level 8) A research related qualification and experience is a must. Experience: 4-5 years’ experience in the field of research and working in training, education and development environment,
Minimum: Ideal: Experience in working and engaging with stakeholders including understanding OFO Codes, supply and demand of skills and interventions, learning pathways as well as project management of research projects and keeping up to date with key skills development trends to advise and inform research projects.

- The successful applicant’s remuneration is negotiable, based on a Total-Cost-to-Company package that is inclusive of retirement fund and medical aid employer contribution.
